The Turkish military says 100 PKK members have been killed, while more than 80 others have been wounded during air and artillery strikes in northern Iraq.
Up to 100 members of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party, or PKK, have been killed in raids conducted by the Turkish military in northern Iraq since Wednesday, according to a statement released by the General Staff.
“Although it is impossible to ascertain the number of terrorists killed, the initial information received shows that 90-100 terrorists were killed, more than 80 were injured and transferred to nearby hospitals and villages, while many terrorists fled to nearby villages and used the locals as human shields,” the statement said.
