Bulgaria’s government passed a draft bill for a Memorandum for cooperation in the field of European and Euro-Atlantic integration between Bulgaria and Macedonia, the press office of the government announced.
The term of the document, which used to regulate the relations in this field, expired earlier this year. Today’s decision of the cabinet provides opportunities for renewal of the legal base between the two countries in the field of the European and Euro-Atlantic integration with the purpose of rendering support to the Republic of Macedonia for its accession in the EU and NATO.
The memorandum envisages for Bulgaria to assist Macedonia to bring its national legislation in line with the European one, training of state employees in charge of the European issues, strengthening the administrative capacity and etc.
