Serbian opposition party wants to stop talks with EU

Officials of the Serb Radical Party (SRS) proposed to parliament on Monday an urgent adoption of their draft declaration regarding Serbia’s EU bid.

The opposition party is suggesting that there should be an end to political talks between Serbia and the EU and NATO, regarding the country’s rapprochement and full membership in these organizations.

SRS official Aleksandar Martinović said at a press conference in parliament that he expects support from all parties which see Kosovo and Metohija as a part of Serbia, and believe that it cannot be a subject of political bargaining.
