Nikola Gruevski says that economic crisis favors Greece in the name dispute

Greece has been avoiding meetings over the name despite with Macedonia for several months, while those that have been held were insignificant, said Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski.

“The economic crisis created better position for Greece within the international community. It realised that the time bomb is in European Union’s hands, and if it is activated, the blast will be a big one. Thus, no one pushes it over the name issue,” Gruevski remarked.

In his words, Athens does not want a compromise over Macedonia’s name.
