The next round of Georgian-Russian WTO talks will be held on Oct.25, Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze said at a traditional briefing on Monday.
Kalandadze stressed that Russia does not agree to the requirement on transparency of Georgia’s economic borders on the Abkhaz and South Ossetian sections.
“Georgia is ready to agree to Russia’s WTO membership only if international observers are involved in these borders. However, Moscow does not agree to it. Well, we will wait until they agree,” Kapanadze said.
Only Georgia prevents Russia’s WTO membership, as all the other issues in ithe relations between Russia and the EU have been solved.
