On 28 November, the European Commission adopted the second part of the 2011 regional Action Plan for the Eastern Neighbourhood, addressing challenges in sectors relevant for the whole region, such as integrated border management, territorial co-operation, youth, climate change and transport.
The action programme worth €62.5 million will ensure border management support on the Belarusian-Ukrainian border as well as the Moldavian-Ukrainian border, wider territorial co-operation programmes between border regions of the EU Eastern Partnership countries, regional cooperation in the field of youth work and the provision of technical support to the beneficiary countries to improve the connection between the Trans-European Transport Network and EU’s Eastern neighbours.
