Georgia, Turkey to cooperate on restoring churches and mosques

The Georgian side agreed to allot the site for the construction of a new mosque, Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Ertugrul Gunay said at a meeting with Georgian Minister of Culture Nika Rurua in Ankara.

“We want to intensify the cooperation in the sphere of tourism and culture. There are cultural monuments in both countries. The work will be ensured by the Georgian side with the participation of Turkish experts”, Gunay said.

Turkey undertakes a commitment to restore Oshki and Ishkhani monuments under the supervision and participation of Georgian specialists.
