Serbian deputy PM: a common approach with the United States is needed on Kosovo

It is necessary for Serbia and the U.S., as traditional allies, to find a common approach to the Kosovo issue, Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Ivica Dačić says.

Dačić, who will attend the 2012 Prayer Breakfast in Washington, said he would use the visit to the U.S. to hold a number of talks with the U.S. Department of State and Congress officials.

He stressed that it was important that the traditional allies, such as the U.S. and Serbia, found a common approach for a resolution of the Kosovo issue, adding that attitudes toward Serbia were important for regional peace and stability.
