IMF to wrap up mission in Serbia today

The Serbian government and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will wrap up talks on the first review of the current precautionary arrangement on Thursday.

The meeting will not be followed by a press conference, but a statement on the agreement reached between the parties, the government said.

Serbia’s arrangement with the IMF will remain unchanged after the mission’s visit to Belgrade, while certain domestic media and analysts speculate the IMF will not give a green light to the continuation of the EUR 1.1bn arrangement with Serbia until the 2012 budget is reviewed.
