Macedonia name still an obstacle for EU integration

Macedonian Foreign Minister Nikola Poposki visited the European Parliament in Strasbourg, where he met and talked with several MEPs.

Poposki’s interlocutors said that the EP backs the launching of the accession talks with Macedonia but the name issue is still burning and continues to be an obstacle.

French MEP and Chairperson of the Group of the European People’s Party, Joseph Daul, said that due to the troubles with Greece the name issue is not a priority but it has not been forgotten.
