EU advised Serbia not to hold elections in Kosovo

The Belgrade authorities have been advised not to organize local elections in Kosovo.

The EU member states who have recognized Kosovo’s unilaterally declared independence, advocate against holding of the elections in Kosovo and Germany and France’s have the most rigid stance.

They are convinced that abolition of the so-called parallel structures would be possible if the elections were not held in Kosovo.

Most probably the local elections will not be held in the southern province.
