At an opposition protest on Monday Vevendosje leader Albin Kurti pledged to organize rolling demonstrations, demanding the government’s resignation over the deal with Serbia.
Several hundred opposition activists demonstrated in Kosovo’s capital, Pristina, on Monday, standing for four hours in front of the government building to protest over the terms of a recent deal signed with Serbia.
Between 800 and a thousand people answered the call of Albin Kurti’s Self-determination (Vetevendosja) Movement to take to the streets.
Kurti told them that a series of protests around the country would be held in the forthcoming months, demanding Prime Minister Hashim Thaci’s resignation.
