Turkey says it doesn’t have any territorial claims to Bulgaria

Turkey has never had and will never have territorial claims to Bulgaria and other neighbors, Turkish ambassador to Bulgaria Ismail Aramaz said at a meeting with Bulgarian Foreign Minister Nikolay Mladenov, announced the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The meeting took place to review the bilateral relations and recent media reports about a wrong map of Turkey in some school aids published in Istanbul.

As to the second issue, ambassador Aramaz reiterated that the CD which contains the map and was made within a local education campaign in Istanbul in 2009 was recalled on the day it was established the map is wrong. The competent bodies expressed their regret about the mistake.
