Greek FM says Skopje should leave Balkan past behind and look for its future

Macedonia should finally decide to leave behind the Balkan past and instead work constructively for its future. This is what Greek Minister of Foreign Affairs Dimitris Avramopoulos has said.

In Avramopoulos’ words, Greece’s willingness to solve the name issue is well known.

“Greece took steps, which showed that it takes part in the negotiations, held under the auspices of the UN, of goodwill, but unfortunately, we did not see the same approach on behalf of Skopje,” the Greek foreign minister remarked.
