Bulgaria and Romania to construct a third bridge over Danube

Bulgaria and Romania will work for the construction of a third bridge over the Danube between the Bulgarian city of Silistra and the Romanian city of Călărași, Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev and his Romanian counterpart Traian Basescu agreed at their meeting during the 18th Central European Summit in the Slovak capital Bratislava, announced the press center of the Bulgarian President’s Office.

The two countries will seek various options for financing the facility under the EU’s Structural Funds, Cross-Border Cooperation Program and Danube Strategy.
