Turkish President Abdullah Gül met with Egypt’s Ambassador to Ankara Abdel-Rahman Salaheddin on Monday.
Commissioned by Egypt’s interim president Adly Mansour, Salaheddin and Gül discussed Egypt’s transitional roadmap following the army’s popularly backed overthrow of president Mohamed Morsi on 3 July.
The two-hour meeting was part of extensive talks between the ambassador and Turkish government officials, party leaders and businesspeople over recent events in the Arab world’s most populous country.
