Syrian Prime Minister Wael Al-Halqi on Tuesday called on the Syrians displaced by the ongoing conflict to come back home.
“Syria can accommodate all her sons and will emerge stronger from the crisis,” he said during a cabinet meeting chaired by him.
“The government is ready to welcome with open arms all refugees and provide them with decent accommodation,” Al-Halaqi said, citing the legal and security guarantees recently adopted by his government for the displaced people.
The conflict in Syria, which started in March 2011, killed more than 100, 000 people and displaced millions others, who are either within the country or living as refugees in neighboring countries.
