Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu held a phone conversation with his British counterpart William Hague on Wednesday night.
On the phone, the Turkish foreign minister demanded for a consensus on the Syrian situation and called on the international community for immediate steps to prevent the bloodshed in Syria.
Hague informed Turkish minister on the resolution that Britain drafted condemning the chemical weapons attack in Syria and authorizing necessary measures to protect the civilians in the country.
Hague also issued a statement saying, “It is time the United Nations Security Council shoulders its responsibility on Syria, which for the last two and a half years it has failed to do.”
