Obama says Syria would not turn into a second Iraq or Afghanistan

imgG20 did not reach a common stand on Syria on the G20 summit in Saint Petersburg. US government, backed by 11 other countries, is preparing for taking military actions against Syria in order to prevent possible future chemical attacks. US President Obama stated that Syria would not turn into a second Afghanistan or Iraq.

Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin warned that without the UN backing, such a move would be considered as an act of aggression.

The EU also opposed to military actions in Syria. The consequences of a military attack would be unpredictable: bloodshed, huge wave of refugees, negative effects on world economy and destabilisation of the Middle East, opposition to the attack say. Turkey and Israel are among the countries that will be hit back by Damascus.
