Serbia, Azerbaijan discuss defense cooperation

Azerbaijan and Serbia discussed cooperation in the defense sector, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry told Trend on Jan. 30.

On January 30, Azerbaijan’s Defense Minister, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov received Serbia’s Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Zoran Vajovic, according to the ministry.

During the meeting the parties discussed military cooperation, military-political situation in the region and the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Serbian ambassador stressed the importance of strategic cooperation between the two countries.
