Turkish President Abdullah Gul on Wednesday warned the international community against reviving the Cold War era amid the crisis unfolding in Ukraine, saying that it is “dangerous for everyone and parties should avoid it.”
“We believe in the political solidarity and territorial integrity of Ukraine,” Gul said at a press conference with visiting Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski, adding that Crimea is also part of the country.
“We believe that Crimea should stay in Ukrainian territory,” Komorowski said, adding that Turkey and Poland are in agreement concerning Ukraine and Crimea.
The two presidents held a press conference stating their views on the Ukraine crisis after they met to discuss bilateral ties between Ankara and Warsaw. The Polish president stressed the two countries want to strengthen business ties.
