EU to prepare sanctions on Russia

The meeting of EU foreign ministers in Brussels on Monday will focus on developments in Ukraine, a senior EU official announced on Friday.

The European Union prepares sanctions against Russia if there is no de-escalation of the conflict and no start of talks between Russia and Ukraine.

Work and preparation goes on the sanctions list of people to add and what are the criteria that include the assets freeze and a visa ban.

The EU could also annul the next EU-Russia summit.

The foreign ministers of the EU could decide on sanctions, Monday or defer its decision to the European leaders meeting in Brussels late next week.
