Ban Ki-moon to visit Russia, Ukraine

imgUN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon was Wednesday preparing to leave for Russia and Ukraine to promote a peaceful settlement of the crisis of conflict between threatening.

Ban will meet with President of Russia Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Thursday and with the interim leaders of Ukraine Turchynov Olexsandr President and Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk in Kiev on Friday.

“The Secretary-General has consistently called for a solution that is guided by the principles of the Charter of the United Nations,” said Ban’s office, calling on “all parties to resolve the current crisis peacefully.”
