Turkish PM to visit Iraq

imgIraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi and Turkish Prime Minister Ahmed Davutoglu discussed bilateral relations between Baghdad and Ankara, while Oglo confirmed his intent to visit Baghdad soon.

The Office of al-Abadi said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com that “Turkish Prime Minister Ahmed Davutoglu congratulated the Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi by telephone on the occasion of the formation of the government and gaining the confidence of the House of Representatives,” noting that “Abadi and Davutoglu discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen cooperation.”

The Office added that “the two sides stressed the importance of starting a new phase of bilateral relations between Baghdad and Ankara based on mutual respect and meet the challenges facing the two countries,” adding that “Ihsanoglu announced that he will visit Baghdad in the coming period.”
