The White House announced on Tuesday that the address to the nation on the threat posed by the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) that President Barack Obama will deliver tomorrow will take place in prime time, at 9 p.m.
Obama, who will speak from the White House, will “discuss with the American people the threat posed by ISIL and lay out the United States’ strategy for degrading and ultimately destroying the terrorist group,” the announcement said.
Obama was scheduled to meet at the White House with a bipartisan group of congressional leaders on Tuesday afternoon to brief them on his strategy to deal with ISIL, a day ahead of his address to the nation.
