EU FMs discuss Libya, Syria, CAR situation

EU foreign ministers began a meeting here Monday focussed on Libya, migration and relations with Africa, EU High Representative Federica Mogherini told journalists ahead of the meeting.
“Today we will discuss with the ministers first of all Libya. It is a crisis that effects very much the region but also all of the EU,” she said, and noted that she discussed the situation in Libya last week with UN chief Ban Ki-moon and last Friday in the Egyptian resort of Sharm El-Sheik with key players of the region.
Mogehrini said they will discuss today what the EU can do to support the dialogue on Libya which is taking place in Rabat.
The ministers are also expected to take a decision on an EU regional strategy for Syria and Iraq as well as the ISIL threat and launch a military advisory mission in the Central African Republic
