Spain calls on all Malian sides to sign Algiers settlement agreement

imgThe Spanish Foreign Ministry on Thursday called on Malian parties to sign the peace agreement signed on March 1 in Algiers by the Malian government and three Malian armed groups, saying it is the best way to achieving peace and national reconciliation in Mali.
In a statement released Thursday, the Spanish Foreign Ministry condemned the suicide attack against the camp of integrated multidimensional UN Stabilization Mission in Mali (Minusma) that resulted in deaths and injuries among soldiers and civilians, qualifying this act as “terrorist”.

The Spanish Ministry also stressed “the full support of Madrid” to Minusma for achieving stability and security in Mali while calling on all parties to respect the Mission’s efforts.
