A conference for development, peace and the consolidation of the economic recovery in Mali will be held Thursday in Paris, with the participation of Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ramtane Lamamra.
The conference, entitled “Building a Emergin Mali,” following the Peace Agreement and reconciliation in Mali obtained through the efforts of international mediation Algeria conduct.
At the meeting, jointly organized by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the Government of Mali, the Malian authorities, international partners, civil society and the private sector will discuss ways to “move the forward with the peace process and reconciliation in Mali and ensure economic recovery and development, through mobilizing development assistance, private investment and national resources, “said the organizers.
Several ministers and personalities representing many countries and regional organizations will attend the conference.
The opening speeches will be delivered by French President Francois Hollande and President Ibrahim Boubacar Keïta of Mali and OECD Secretary-General Angel.
Lamamra, representing Algeria as the Chairman of the Monitoring Committee agreement for peace and reconciliation in Mali, co-chair parts of the works and deliver the conclusions of the conference.
