Washington – President Barack Obama says the United States continues to attack ISIS in Libya as targets are identified.
Obama speaks at a news conference in California. He said the United States will go after ISIS “wherever”.
Obama points to a raid conducted in the United States last year that killed a senior official Islamic state in Libya. He said the United States to take action when it has a clear objective in mind.
Obama also said he is working with other countries to identify opportunities to counter ISIS in Libya.
Obama said Libya could be successful if it had a functioning government. He said there are many groups in Libya who disagree with ISIS and said establishment of a government is a key step to resolving the conflict.
