Tunisia hosts new round of Libyan political talks

Under the patronage of the United Nations, members of the Libyan political dialogue held a consultative meeting in Tunisia on Monday and Tuesday to discuss the latest developments in Libya, including the implementation of the Libyan political agreement signed in Assakhriat, Morocco.
A statement issued by the UN mission in Libya, headed by Martin Kobler, published by AFP said the meeting will be held in Gamret, North of the capital Tunis without adding further details.
The members of the Libyan political dialogue have held a first consultative meeting in Tunisia on 17 and 18 August, attended by Fayez Essiradj head of national accord government.
Sources said that officials discussed during the meeting the means to form a unified army in Libya, as well as challenges facing the government, including service and financial infrastructure, as well as the resumption of oil exports and a solution to electricity shortcuts.
The new round of negotiations will conclude on Tuesday and aims to find a political solution for the crisis in Libya, under the supervision of the United Nations.
