Tunisian-Algerian-Egyptian to hold meeting on Libya

Minister of Foreign Affairs Khemaïes Jhinaoui will participate in a tripartite consultation meeting on Libya to be attended by the Foreign Ministers of Libya, Algeria and Egypt on Wednesday, November 15, 2017.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting will examine the steps to take to implement the initiative of President Beji Caid Essebsi on Libya.
It will also take stock of the working sessions held between the committees of the Libyan Chamber of Representatives and the Libyan High Council of the State, under the auspices of the United Nations last October in Tunisia.
These working sessions made it possible to examine the consensual amendments to the Skhirat agreement concluded in December 2015, the statement said.
The Cairo meeting will also provide an opportunity to discuss ways to support the United Nations efforts and to review the steps taken by Tunisia, Algeria and Egypt to reach a consensual settlement of the crisis in Libya.
Two other tripartite co-ordination meetings have already been held since the Tunis declaration for a comprehensive political settlement of the crisis in Libya.
The first meeting took place on June 5-6, 2017 in Algeria and the second on September 21 in New York, on the sidelines of the 72nd UN General Assembly.
