North-west of Aleppo | HTS arrests two members of “Ahrar al-Sham” at al-Ghzawiya crossing

Reliable sources have informed the Syrian Observatory that HTS arrested two fighters of the Islamic movement of “Ahrar al-Sham”, as they passed through the HTS checkpoint at the Al-Ghzawiya crossing in north-west Aleppo. No information has been repoted to date about the reasons for the arrest.

On December 22, SOHR sources said that members of the HTS checkpoint arrested a former media activist of the “Jaish al-Mujahideen” faction, while trying to cross the areas held by Turkish forces and “Olive Branch” factions with his family towards the HTS-held areas in Aleppo countryside from Al-Gazawiya crossing, which separates between the two areas in northwestern Aleppo countryside.

On December 16, SOHR activists said that HTS arrested the director of the “logistics office” within the organization “Union of Revolutionary Offices” in the town of Salqin in Rural Idlib, following a lawsuit filed by the Local Council in Kafrenbel against him, as he criticized the work of the Council through a post on his personal account on social media sites.
