SOHR sources have reported an explosion, on Saturday morning, in the city of Idlib, caused by an IED exploded while a military column belonging to the Turkish forces was passing in the Corniche street in the city.
A jihadist organization calling itself “Ansar Abu Bakr al-Siddiq’s Brigade” claimed responsibility for the explosion, saying “A military column of the Turkish NATO Army was targeted on the south-eastern Corniche of Idlib city with an IED, in retaliation for the killing of the child Ahmed Yasser al-Abd near the border in the village of Al-Madloussa in western Salqin countryside.”
Other sources have said that the IED was detonated by Turkish forces after it was discovered.
On March 4, the Syrian Observatory documented the death of a child, after being shot by Turkish border guards “Al-Jandarma”, while he was in front of his house in the village of Al-Madloussa in Salqin countryside in the north-west of Idlib province opposite the Iskenderun region.
