An Israeli woman kidnapped by Hamas has denied being tortured: They did not beat me; I had injuries on my body because a building collapsed on me

Noa Argamani, an Israeli woman who was held captive in the Gaza Strip for eight months, has denied reports that she was tortured.

Israeli media had reported that she was tortured during her captivity in Gaza, citing her statements. After the news quickly spread, Argamani refuted these claims on her Instagram account.

“I was not tortured, nor was my hair shaved. I was not beaten. I was in a building that was hit by Israeli airstrikes. I had injuries all over my body because the building collapsed on me,” Argamani wrote.

She responded to reports in Israeli media claiming she was tortured during her eight-month captivity.

“I am a victim of the October 7 incident and refuse to be re-victimized by Israeli media,” Argamani added.

For context, Argamani was kidnapped on October 7, 2023, by Hamas members, and a video of her being taken away on a motorcycle was shared by her family at that time.
