TEHRAN (FNA)- An Iranian firm has been offered an investment license to build a cement factory in southern Iraq by provincial authorities in Thi-Qar.
“The Thi-Qar Investment Board has given a UAE-based Iranian firm an investment license to build a cement factory in the province, “Mohamed Aziz al-Hindawi, Marketing Director for Thi-Qar Investment Board, told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
The factory will be able to produce 3,000 tons of cement per day.
According to a press tv report, Hindawi did not provide additional information on the cost of the project or its likely start but said that “negotiations were in final stages.”
Thi-Qar is located in Iraq’s southern region, bordered in the south by Basrah and Muthanna.
