Mashhad-Kuala Lumpur Become Sister Cities

A02331126.jpgSpeaking to FNA on Saturday, assistant mayor of Mashhad for planning Mansour Mahdizadegan said that the decision was made during a visit to the Malaysian capital by a high-ranking delegation from Mashhad’s municipality.

He said the 6-day visit was aimed at discussing potentials and appropriate opportunities for the two sides’ cooperation.

The senior advisor to Mashhad’s mayor stated that during the trip, he, as the head of the delegation and his companions, held 12 official meetings with the Malaysian officials.

Meantime, he pointed to their visit to Iran’s technological capabilities expo in Malaysia as a second goal of the delegation’s trip to that country.

He said that Mashhad’s mayor, in a letter, has called on his Malaysian counterpart to develop joint cooperation and also extended an invitation to the mayor of Kuala Lumpur to pay a visit to Mashhad.

To conclude his words, Mahdizadegan further mentioned that the Iranian delegation has also met Malaysia’s Deputy Industries Minister Jamileh Pasha.
