Montenegro handed over the year-long chairmanship of the Central European Initiative (CEI) to Serbia on Tuesday (December 7th) during a meeting of national co-ordinators from member states in Podgorica. Montenegrin Foreign Minister Milan Rocen and CEI Secretary-General Gerhard Pfanzelter described Montenegro’s chairmanship as successful. Rocen said his country worked to help strengthen regional co-operation while at the helm, adding the main priorities were the economy, tourism, transportation, energy, environmental protection, and parliamentary co-operation.
