For the first time in its history, Serbia will hold the chairmanship of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, it was decided at OSCE headquarters in Vienna on Friday.
“This decision confirms the reputation of Serbia in the world. And this is of course a big honour for Serbia,” Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic said.
No country opposed Serbia’s candidacy for the chairmanship and it will be the first country to emerge from the former Yugoslavia to chair the organisation.
