The UN mediator in the “name” dispute between Macedonia and Greece, Matthew Nimetz, kicks off his two-day visit to Skopje on Monday to examine its commitment to solving the long-standing issue.
After his stay in Skopje, Nimetz heads to Athens to inspect the Greeks side.
Prior to Nimetz’s visit Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski said he expected some ideas coming from the mediator.
“We should first hear them, analyze them, and then present our opinion,” Gruevski told local media.
