Bulgarian MEP Iliyana Yotova discussed with Moldovian ambassador to Bulgaria Alexandru Prigorski about the problems of Bulgarians from Taraclia, a region of Moldova.
“We had a one-hour conversation, a very constructive one,” MEP Iliyana Yotova said.
“I told the ambassador everything about the correspondence I have with Bulgarians living in Taraclia and that they are very worried about what is happening there and about the university that was opened a few years ago by President Parvanov. It [the university] has a very serious status and a very important place in the educational system not only in Moldova, but also in the entire region,” she said.
