Biden visits Poland to reassure allies of US support

imgVice President of the United States Joe Biden arrived in Poland Tuesday during a visit to reassure allies that the United States will stand up to Russian aggression in neighboring Ukraine.

Russian President Vladimir Putin moved forward quickly with plans to absorb Crimea, in defiance of new sanctions by the United States and Europe have imposed a day earlier. In a fiery speech in Moscow, Putin criticized the West to sow unrest in Ukraine.

Biden ‘s visit to the region is part of a broader campaign of the United States to send a clear signal to Putin following the referendum on Sunday in the Crimea , which the United States has rejected as illegal.
