Croatia has started a final offensive to enter the EU in 2011. The European Commission (EC) said that the pre-accession talks could be finalised, if the country steps up its efforts in the fight against corruption and the detention of war criminals.

March 31 is the perfect date for the parliament to dissolve and to call early parliamentary elections, said Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski. According to him, it is within the authorities of the parliament’s chairperson to set a sitting and he expected it to be this week. 

EU Commissioner for Enlargement Stefan Fule has started his visit to Belgrade today, where he arrived to discuss Serbia’s EU integration.The EU official will then meet with Interior Minister Ivica Dačić.
