OPEC’s second largest producer Iran has made a drastic cut in gasoline imports through rationing and saved over $1.2 bln in this Iranian year.

Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Mostafa Mohammad Najjar underlined that his country’s missiles capability is not meant to pose a threat to any other country and merely serves as a deterrent to enemy invasion.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is scheduled to pay a visit to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia next month to attend the third summit of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
