Chairman of Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaoddin Boroujerdi here on Tuesday blasted the efforts made by certain MPs to form a parliamentary friendship group between Iran and the US.

A number of representatives at Iran’s Islamic Consultative Assembly here on Tuesday started collecting signatures from their colleagues to approve a plan for the formation of Iran-US parliamentary friendship group.

The reports released about a plan presented by Iran to UAE officials about the three Iranian islands of the Greater Tunb, the Lesser Tunb and Abu Musa in the Persian Gulf is a forged baseless scenario, an informed source told FNA here on Tuesday.
