FM Spokesman Condemns Israeli Invasion of Lebanon

A0114617.jpgTEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hamid Reza Asefi here Thursday condemned Israel’s invasion of Lebanon and destruction of Lebanese infrastructure.

According to a statement released by the Foreign Ministry’s Information and Press Bureau, Asefi stressed that the Zionist Regime is repeating the failed scenarios of the past, adding, “and it is, thus, destined to failure again.”

He said that the resistance of the Muslim nations of the region has forced the Zionist Regime into a state of paralysis, “and it has now resorted to blind operations against innocent people while it is enjoying full support of the United States.”

Asefi reiterated that the Zionist Regime has been defeated by popular resistance in the past and that it has no way out but accepting failure once again.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry official viewed as questionable the silence adopted by the international circles in the face of the developments of the region during recent weeks and warned that unless serious action is taken urgently to stop the crimes committed by the Zionist Regime, a human catastrophe will be underway and tensions will be developed in the region.

The deputy Foreign Minister for Parliamentary Affairs reminded that the Islamic Republic of Iran will monitor the Israelis’ crimes with much concern and will exchange views with regional countries in the meantime.
