Relief and rescue teams said that only 18 of the 147 passengers on board the crashed plane survived the incident.
The Russian-made Tupolev-154, on route from the southern port city of Bandar Abbas in Hormuzgan Province to Mashhad, caught fire upon landing as its front tire burst into flames at 14:40 Hours local time.
The relief and rescue teams said that 90 charred corpses have so far been taken out of the plane, while most of the passengers have suffocated to death.
Survivors are all of those passengers who had been sitting closer to the cockpit.
