Ahmadinejad: Supporters of arrogant powers their accomplices

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad here on Saturday said governments supporting arrogant powers share the crimes committed by these bullying powers. Addressing a huge crowd of locals in this northwestern city on the last day of a tour of West Azarbaijan province, he said big powers think they own the world and expect all countries to follow their policies. Countries that maintain burgeoning nuclear weapons arsenals and which claim to be defenders of human rights and global security as well as exemplary followers of international rules and regulations as well as global security make a mockery of themselves, he said, and warned that their conspiracies will be neutralized through vigilance and participation of faithful Iranians in all national activities. He blasted arrogant powers and their supporters for thinking they can frustrate Iranians from their efforts to achieve progress, saying no power would sideline Iran’s determination to pursue dialogue, logic and peace and defend its right to pursue peaceful nuclear technology in the interest of moving the country forward. Elsewhere in his speech, President Ahmadinejad called attention to the need to address the city’s problems including the lack of jobs for local residents. Accompanied by members of his cabinet, Ahmadinejad arrived in Orumiyeh, capital of the northwestern province of West Azarbaijan, on Thursday morning for a three-day visit. Later today, the last day of his visit, he and his cabinet ministers will hold a session in Orumiyeh to discuss the province’s problems and needs. President Ahmadinejad’s current provincial visit is his 19th to various provinces of the country since the start of his initiative of bringing the government closer to the people. He and members of his cabinet have already visited the provinces of South Khorasan, Sistan-Baluchestan, Ilam, Qom, Hormuzgan, Bushehr, Chahar Mahal and Bakhtiari, Lorestan, Golestan, Kohgilouyeh and Boyer Ahmad, Khorassan Razavi, Zanjan, Markazi, Qazvin, Hamedan, East Azarbaijan, North Khorassan, and Ardebil
