TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad underscored that the world today is in need of justice, morality and respect for humanity.
According to a statement released by the Presidential Press Office, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad met with the members of the non-governmental institute of the United States’ Foreign Relations Council on the sidelines of the ongoing 61st annual session of the United Nations General Assembly on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the Iranian President presented an analysis about the wrong relations dominating the world balance, specially after the World War II, and stressed that such relations can not be continued any more because they have caused too much discrimination and lack of justice in the world.
He called on the world powers, specially the US, to change their attitudes, “because such a behavior has given rise to increased anger and hatred of the world’s independent states and more than one billion Muslims.”
Stressing the increasingly growing wave of vigilance among the world nations, the President reminded that the contemporary world is in desperate need of justice, morality and respect for man, adding, “To achieve this goal, we must believe in these principles and revise past relations.”
Also during the meeting, a number of the US Foreign Relations Council raised their questions about various issues, specially about the Holocaust, Iran’s peaceful nuclear technology, the Middle-East, the solution to the Palestinian crisis, and the United States policies in the face of Iran.
