President felicitates Muslim world on advent of holy Ramadan

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad here Sunday expressed felicitations to the Iranian nation and Muslims all over the world on the advent of the holy fasting month of Ramadan. 

The president addressed a cabinet session Sunday on the eve of the holy month of Ramadan, which started in Iran on Monday.

He expressed hope problems and conflicts plaguing the Islamic would be settled soon since “God Almighty pays special attention to Muslims during this month.”
The president also expressed felicitations for this year’s observance of Sacred Defense Week, saying the week would be an opportunity to honor all values of the Islamic Revolution.

Minister of Industries and Mines Ali-Reza Tahmasbi and Justice Minister Jamal Karimi-Rad, in the cabinet session, presented separate reports on the president’s 10-day visit to Senegal, Cuba, Venezuela as well as his trip to New York where he attended and addressed the 61st annual session of the UN General Assembly.

Likewise, presidential senior adviser and special envoy Mojtaba Hashemi Samareh, who paid a visit to France recently, presented a report on the outcome of his meeting with French President Jacques Chirac at the Champs Elysees Palace in Paris.
