TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- First Vice-President Parviz Dawoodi voiced Iran’s preparedness to develop ties and enhance cooperation with Syria in all the various grounds.
According to a statement released by the Presidential Press Office, Dawoodi made the remarks in a meeting with Syria’s Electricity Minister Ahmad Khalid al-Ali here on Monday.
Also during the meeting, Dawoodi noted the positive and practical fruits of Tehran-Damascus joint cooperation in various sectors, including cement production and auto-manufacturing, and stated Iran’s readiness to transfer its experiences to Syria in other areas, including energy generation and supply, power generation and power plant construction.
He also expressed the hope that the ground would be paved for the transfer of Iran’s electricity to Syria via Iraq following the withdrawal of occupying forces from that country.
For his part, Syria’s Electricity Minister Ahmad Khalid al-Ali viewed Tehran-Damascus mutual cooperation as an indication of the two nations’ profound cordial bonds and consolidated relations as well as the resolve of the two countries’ leaders to further expand bilateral ties.
He also called for the transfer of Iran’s precious experiences and achievements in grounds of power plant construction and power generation to his country.
Al-Ali further praised Iran’s cooperation and supports for the two countries’ joint commission, and mentioned man power training, utilization of renewable energy resources and transfer of Iran’s natural gas to Syria as among the proper grounds for the development of relations and joint cooperation.
